After a few not-quite-as-great-as-usual albums, Superchunk are back up to full force on WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!. The current administration of Assholes on Parade (both in DC and across the country) has definitely revitalized them. Socio-political without being preachy, pissed-off but with a sense of humor, they hit new levels of lyrical sophistication while musically keeping the same levels of intensity and energy that launched them almost 30 years ago. A stunner.
