I like Lulu, don’t get me wrong.
An awesome place to design your own books, when the mood strikes. Try to sell them for a profit, tho, and
beware - you will lose most everything you make come tax time even if, like me,
you’re a poet and no one really gives a shit about spending money on your inane
ramblings.
Still, though, for all of you brave souls out there, my loss is
your gain. All of my Lulu work (my
Lulupalooza if you will - and fuck you if you won’t) is now on sale at the site
AT COST. No outrageous markups, just whatever Lulu
decides is the bare minimum it can sell these things at.
AND……….
(and I know, you’re thinking Holy Christ, John! There’s
more??!! And
yes, there is, and if you’d just shut up for a minute I’ll tell you about it,
okay? Okay.)
AND……….
In a fit of artistic insanity, I’ve decided to try out their
matte covers, having had some success with the style for one of my previous collections
that got published by AN ACTUAL POETRY PRESS.
And that still didn’t pay anything, because that’s life.
So, in summation - do yourself a favor, buy some dirt cheap
kick-ass poetry in attractive bindings.
If, however, matte covers make you vomit with rage, just shoot me a
note. I have some copies of most of the
titles in shiny cover format, also at rock bottom prices.
So what are you waiting for?
