Another UK band that the American critics loved to
ignore, and the UK ones loved to set up just to watch them fall. Curve’s CUCKOO kicks ass, and it’s a pretty
sweet re-issue. The bonus disc is, as
always on these things, a mixed bag - some excellent rare tracks, some
unnecessary remixes.
The meat of this release, of course, is the main
album, which always sounded kind of thin and tinny back in the day. It has a very warm sound now, much richer and
fuller. Maybe my stereo just
sucked. Who knows. In any event, Curve kicked ass, fuck the
critics.
