So, of course, once I was a total music obsessive, I had to find out the origins of all this music, and some of the contemporaries, working both sideways and backwards chronologically to fill in gaps and hard-to-find UK bands.....

(no Beatles here, as they were pretty ubiquitous throughout my childhood)
