THE DAY YOU DIE

From 19-fucking-93.
Good God.
Mini-chap, tall and skinny, only 5 poems.
Definitely juvenilia.
The attitude was there, and the form,
but the voice was still in the early stages
of forming.
Gina Bergamino at Mulberry Press.
Had quite a few of her 80s/90s collections,
all lost in the flood about 10 years ago.
Lost a lot of Lifshin chaps, too.
Sucks.
Was cooking at the time,
guy I worked with brought a copy home for his
literary girlfriend to read, she asked him
"What's someone who can write like this
doing working with you?"
Good fun.
